Springs are what actually lift your garage door — the opener just guides it. When a spring snaps, the door becomes a few hundred pounds of dead weight, and forcing the opener will only burn it out or hurt someone. This is the one repair you really shouldn't DIY.
We replace both torsion springs (mounted above the door) and extension springs (along the tracks) with correctly rated, durable parts, then re-balance and test the whole door. You'll know the price before we touch it.

Should I replace both springs if only one broke?
On two-spring doors, usually yes. The other is the same age and will likely fail soon — doing both saves a second service call.
How long does a spring replacement take?
Most are completed in the same visit, often within an hour or two.
How do I know it's the spring and not the opener?
